  • The new site is rising from the ashes following the much needed transfer to a new web site provider.

 

  • We have opened the Forum &  the Parts shop & we are now offering genuine Brembo rotor blanks for Honda & Acura marques.

 

  • The future will see more information regarding the Shop projects plus this monthly newsletter. More products will be offered at competitive prices. The next will be Engine parts for the Honda D16A6 engine series – more to follow.

 

  • Latest news – Colletti Motor Sports is proud to be  Ohio’s second official dealer in Fujita products & we  will be offering at competitive prices the full Fujita line of intakes and oil caps.

 

  • A welcome addition to our existing long term dealerships with K & N Filters & AEM  performance products.

Shop Projects & News

 

  • January Shop Activity

 

Traditionally not the busiest of months, but the shop had high activity providing service & repairs for customer vehicles with a range of 15 different manufacturers

 

Acura – Austin – BMW – Chrysler – Chevrolet – Ford – Honda – Jeep – Mazda – Mini – Mitsubishi – Nissan – Saturn

Toyota – Volkswagen

 

with build years varying from 1975 – 2006.

 

 

Not bad for a shop that is known for its expertise & knowledge of imports, especially Honda & Acura.  So, further demonstrating the wide range of customer support that we offer.

 

  • SUPRA

 

The Supra is heading towards street freedom. Greg is settling the car to provide a reliable platform to further tune the beast to its final spec. Then it is off to the body shop & a last run on the Dyno before unleashing its potential to the customer.

 

  • BMW 2002 Ti

 

A Beemer 2002Ti is evolving into another Colletti master piece of racing beauty. The engine is out & being rebuilt. Panels are being cut & welded, ready for the paint shop.

 

  • Factory Five Racing Challenge

 

The ‘Cobra’ chassis & its donor car arrived mid February & already the Mustang 5L engine has been transferred into the chassis. bill is currently working on the electrics & transferring other essential parts from the donor car.

 

  • Prelude

 

The Prelude has now moved onto its new owner who is deliriously happy with his new baby.

 

  • Honda Civic

 

Waiting in the wings is a Honda Civic to be transferred with Colletti magic into a thing of beauty.

 

 

Family news

 

  • Steve’s eldest son continues the family racing tradition. he is now the project leader for the Coca Cola Vitamin Water campaign with  Nascar  & Busch series driver Carl edwards.

 

  • Megan – Steve’s youngest daughter passed her driving test – so another Colletti to step into the race car (maybe).

 

Race Car Season     

 

  • The Colletti team will be rolling once again in endurance  & Pdx at our local tracks of Mid-Ohio, Nelson ledges & IRP during 2008.

 

  • Plans for more endurance races, especially the Nelson Ledges 24 hour are on the table.

 

  • A race at Atlanta was projected for February, now postponed due to their circuit changes not being finished in time for this tentative season start.

 

  • Our Solo2 stars Greg & Bill are preparing for the 2008 season .

 

  • Bill Smiley has already tasted the track at the Daytona New Year  Kart meet, so whetting his racing appetite for the new season.

 

  • I am checking out the corner worker’s kit bag in preparation for a new season which I hope will not include the ‘Friendly fire’ experience of 2007, when a spinning car decided to demolish my one protective barrier.

 

  • Finally, excitement is building to see the Factory Five Racing car’s  performance in its own Challenge series with a multitude of muscle & grunt tearing up the track.

 

  • ROLL ON THE RACING SEASON.
